The best cornerback in America is a Florida Gator.

That’s right, the best cornerback in America according to Pro Football Focus’ grades and advanced metrics is Florida Gators’ redshirt senior CJ Henderson.

Henderson has been a lockdown corner for the Gators over the last two seasons and has been a key reason why Florida has had one of the nation’s top defenses.

This season, Henderson has been even better as he’s allowed just 12 catches on 31 targets for 129 yards, no touchdowns, and two interceptions while being graded as a top-10 corner by PFF.

Henderson is a big reason why the Gators are once again one of the nation’s top defenses and are contenders for a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Who is he?

He is a 6-foot-6, 240-pound tight end from Newberry, Florida. He/ was a three-star recruit coming out of high school and was ranked the No. 38 tight end in the country by 247Sports Composite. He played in 12 games as a true freshman in 2016 and had eight catches for 84 yards and two touchdowns. He redshirted in 2017.

I am always looking for ways to improve my game. . Recently, I set my sights on the University of Florida.

The Gators have a rich tradition of success in both academics and athletics. I was really impressed by the facilities and the coaching staff. They have a great program and I can’t wait to visit again.

I am committed to the Gators and I am excited to see what the future holds for me at this great university.
