Beware of Bel Furniture Advertising on KSAT

Bel Furniture mers looking for bedroom furniture may want to think twice about purchasing furniture from Bel Furniture. The Better Business Bureau recently released a warning about the company after receiving 108 complaints. The complaints relate to delivery, merchandise, and advertising. One consumer, Kimberly Valadez, spent nearly $4000 on a new bedroom set and was left with empty promises. You should avoid buying furniture from Bel if you are worried about being scammed.

False advertising

One customer has complained about Bel Furniture’s reputation and the quality of the merchandise, and the company’s CEO has responded with a letter claiming that these complaints are typical of a large business, and that the company will take action to correct this problem. However, there are several issues with this letter, and Bel Furniture should not be allowed to continue advertising on KSAT until the problem has been resolved. Here are some of the most common issues with Bel furniture advertisements.

The company was first mentioned by PissedConsumer on Jan. 31, 2009. The site lists 200 reviews of the company, ranking it 364rd out of 1655 for the category “Furniture and Decor“. Recent recommendations for the company include, “Don’t buy from the abbey”, “Don’t do it.”

Faulty merchandise

You can request an exchange if you discover a defect in your Bel Furniture purchase within six months of your purchase date. You can either choose another item of equal or greater value, or have the defective merchandise repaired or replaced. If you do not want to exchange the item, Bel Furniture will provide full credit for the purchase price of the faulty item. The warranty period does not apply to floor samples, clearance items, or accessories. Abuse or intentional damage are excluded from the warranty.

When you receive faulty merchandise, contact the retailer immediately and follow their instructions for returning the item. If you have purchased your furniture elsewhere, you should contact the retailer directly to request a replacement. However, you must note that Bel Furniture reserves the right to refuse service. Unless you purchased the product online, you must call and notify the retailer within two days of receipt of the faulty merchandise. If you are not satisfied with your new furniture, you have three days to return it to Bel Furniture for a full refund. However, you may be charged up to 50% of the purchase price if you have returned the furniture.

The owners created two lines of furniture, the Sara Collection and Mollai Collection. They employ 350 people in their stores. After receiving complaints about their products and customer service, the company restructured its customer service policies.
